Our Views: Watch for more party-line appeals at state level

It is unfortunate for Michael Gerson that his column (titled by The Advocate as "Both parties morally; intellectually exhausted"), was printed the day after Democrats ran the table across the country on Nov. 7. From governors to county commissioners, Democrats demonstrated both moral and intellectual strength. They spoke to people's concerns as evidenced by the exit polling indicated that voters' issues were healthcare (more of it), gun violence (less of it) and support for diversity (more of it).
