It appears that William Jenkins is finally going to have an opportunity to step down as president of LSU. I would like to offer my thanks for this man who has given so much of his retirement to step in when LSU needed him to guide our primary state educational system.

Jenkins’ family is not in Baton Rouge and he has had to spend long periods without them. He devoted much of his retirement time to us when we needed his expertise in guiding LSU.

Thanks Bill, and I hope you and wife Peggy can finally enjoy retirement.
