Recently the U.S. Senate voted on a bill that would prohibit anyone on the no-fly list from buying guns. Seems like a no-brainer, right? Why would anyone who is thought to pose a threat to our national security be allowed to purchase weapons?
Evidently, Sens. David Vitter and Bill Cassidy thought otherwise. Perhaps they know something we don’t, but I can’t imagine what that might be.
As Desi used to say to Lucy, “you got some splain’in to do.” Please, senators, tell me and all of us here in Louisiana who have elected you to represent our interest and well-being.
Why should someone too dangerous to board a plane be free to purchase firearms?
