What was I thinking? I thought the election had resolved some basic issues. Silly me.

Never mind President Barack Obama campaigned on and was elected to increase taxes on those earning more than a quarter of a million dollars a year. House Republicans reject taxes.

Never mind the Supreme Court ruled the Affordable Care Act constitutional and Republicans made the election into a national referendum on health care — and lost. Republican governors reject health-care legislation.

Never mind the radical-right message has no appeal to most black people, Hispanics, Asians, young voters and over half the women in this country. Republicans reject the messenger.

Never mind a majority of voters in a majority of states chose another path. Republicans reject all other paths as socialism.

Never mind America is built on majority rule and an election determines the majority. Republicans reject the majority as un-American.

It would all be so deliciously ironic if it weren’t so scary.
