I am positive that it will always boggle my mind why people drive while intoxicated. The drunk driver, Michael Burrie, is not a first-time offender. He has driven drunk other times. The only difference between his past experiences and this one is that this time, Michael Burrie killed another man. An innocent man who was simply doing his job, unaware of the dangers he was soon to face.

I think it is very important for the citizens of New Orleans to be aware of the consequences of drunk driving. If Michael Burrie had learned his lesson the first time driving drunk or had been aware before ever committing this crime, he would not be sitting in jail for vehicular homicide.
