Through all of the years of reading The Advocate, I should have maintained a scrapbook of typographical errors such as the ones I spotted in Saturday’s story titled, “Unexpected monk.”
According to this article, the strict training of monks requires that monks, among other things, awake at 3 a.m. to “medicate for two hours.”
The article goes on to detail the educational history of Baton Rouge abbot Thich Dao Quang, who had once hoped “to do research on medication at Duke University.”
Spell-check doesn’t always work!
I enjoyed this article, and thank you for the chuckle.
