With the illness and recent death of Steve Jobs, most of us became aware of how much impact this one man had on the modern world and our way of living.

He was so important that before his death, a good or a bad report on his health was enough to send Apple Computer’s stock soaring or plunging.

But what many are not aware of is that Steve Jobs was an adopted child. His natural parents were two University of Wisconsin graduate students. They were in love, but her father opposed their marriage. So Steve Jobs’ mother gave birth to her son, then gave him up for adoption.

No doubt this was a painful decision for the mother and father. But it was the right thing to do. Also, this was in 1955. What if Steve Jobs had been aborted? Think of how different the world would be.

We have forgotten the uniqueness in each individual person.
