I don’t know why Gov. Bobby Jindal and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie can’t understand that when you have public schools, you have to have rules that are for the good of all students.

Not following the rules, unless there is a good and documented reason, can only disrupt the system put in place for the good of all students.

Outsiders like Jindal and Christie should not be trying to make political points by undermining the decisions of school officials. If they disagree, they should be going to school board meetings and discuss their position with the people that make the rules. If school officials make a rule the governors don’t like, they should keep their mouths closed and not try to undermine the authority of the proper officials by encouraging people to opt out of the rules.
