Is The Advocate’s mission to inform or advocate, to educate or confirm its position on issues? I base my question on The Advocate’s choice of articles and stories it prints. I have been a reader of the State Times/Morning Advocate and the current Advocate for more than 50 years and must say I question your choice. Rarely does a week goes by that The Advocate doesn’t include an article critical of President Barack Obama, whose authority is limited without congressional approval and praising Gov. Bobby Jindal, who doesn’t need legislative approval to act. You also run stories about athletes portraying citizens of color and the poor negatively. Is The Advocate really printing a newspaper or just an opinion?
