How difficult would it be for each school, particularly high schools, to post a list of course offerings on the individual school websites? This would accomplish several objectives. It would allow the community to see what sets schools apart by unique course offerings and allow schools to feature strong curricular areas. It would help parents provide guidance to their children in planning for their future, and it would assist parents of special needs students in planning for post-secondary goals and outcomes. Furthermore, it would identify areas in need of unique instruction, such as foreign language or photography, that could be available to students who may have particular strengths for excellence outside of core academic areas and that are typically available only to those that meet admission requirements for magnet schools.
