I applaud Louisiana Supreme Justice John Hughes for standing up for his moral conventions with his one dissenting vote against gay marriage while other Louisiana supreme justices gave dissenting views but went along with the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling.

The Supreme Court overstepped “we the people” and our constitutional rights when they moved to legalize immoral behavior.

They all take an oath of office vowing to uphold our U.S. Constitution and laws while placing their hand on the Holy Bible as a testimony to our Almighty God. They have now gone against his word, placing our country in a state of confusion and in direct disobedience to our Heavenly Father who has always been our guiding light.

How is this any different from the events that led up to the Revolutionary War with England?

We are a Christian country, founded on our beliefs, and this new ruling is insulting.

As previously stated, it will further destroy and greatly confuse our grandchildren and their families.

On another note, since the July 12 paper represented such outlandish liberal views:

Our landmarks pay tribute to our past and show our history. Leave our flags and our landmarks alone. If you don’t like them, then don’t come and see them. And furthermore, my gun must be a really well-behaved gun because it has yet to kill anyone.
