Sadly, the statues of Robert E. Lee, P.G.T. Beauregard and Jefferson Davis will soon be removed by the New Orleans Mayor’s Office and City Council.

Now, where will the statues go?

To my knowledge, the mayor and council have not let the public know the plans. Will they be moved to a city warehouse? If so, it will be costly to relocate them a second time.

My suggestion is for the city to donate the statues to a cemetery; Lakelawn Metairie and/or Greenwood would be good choices.
