If the Alabama Crimson Tide had a lot to celebrate after snatching away victory in Saturday night’s game at Tiger Stadium, the team doctors were a little bit busy — responding to an accident on their way home.
An LSU police officer was struck and injured escorting a motorcade, and Alabama’s traveling physicians leaped to assist. It is a timely reminder of what is important, even amidst the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat on the field.
The victim is recovering, and the doctors went on their way with the team.
But they return with the thanks of the LSU community, even if we look forward to gridiron revenge next year.
