If LSU fans across the state were disappointed with the results of the NCAA regionals, the Ragin’ Cajuns are still giving Louisiana the potential for a championship run.

UL-Lafayette, the No. 6 national seed in the NCAA baseball tournament, will host Ole Miss at 7 p.m. Saturday and 8 p.m. Sunday in the best-of-three format for a super-regional.

It is a well-deserved chance to go to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Cajuns came back from a shocking loss in the first game and played their way to the regional win in Lafayette. They now host the super-regional.

We congratulate the team and wish them all the best. They’ve truly earned it.
