The joys of tailgating and LSU and Southern home football games make for a busy day today. Fall is also a reminder that this is election season, and it’s easy to forget to vote on game days.
On Oct. 22, the date of the primary election, there’ll be no home game for the Jaguars, as it is an open date, but LSU will be facing Auburn that day. So it’s handy that early voting begins Saturday and continues through Oct. 15 at parish registrars of voters offices.
In Baton Rouge, registered voters can cast their ballots early at the State Archives on Essen Lane, the clerk of court building on Coursey Boulevard and the Office of Motor Vehicles in Baker, in addition to the registrar’s office downtown.
We encourage voters to cast an informed ballot during early voting or on election day itself.
