Eight seniors from Southern’s Southwestern Athletic Conference Champion football team have been selected to participate in HBCU All-Star Bowl IV.

The bowl features the top 100 draft-eligible players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The game will be played Jan. 18 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

The Jaguars who were chosen are quarterback Dray Joseph, wide receiver Lee Doss, running back Darrius Coleman, offensive lineman Aaron Hall, defensive end Kadeem Lewis, linebacker Anthony Balancier and defensive backs Virgil Williams and Johnathan Mack.

In addition to playing in the game, the players will participate in a one-day evaluation by pro football scouts. The workout will be conducted by National Football Scouting.
