ST. FRANCISVILLE — Luke Stelly booted a 34-yard field in the third quarter that lifted West Feliciana to a 22-21 victory over Live Oak Friday night at WFHS.
Class 5A Live Oak (2-1) had a chance to win it, but a late field goal was off the mark. Keirrian Hawkins ran for a game-high 127 yards on 15 carries for the Eagles. Quarterback Sal Palermo scored two TDs for LOHS.
Clayton Howard scored on a 20-yard run, and Derius Davis had a 45-yard TD run as second-ranked West Feliciana of Class 3A remained unbeaten. Davon Harris led the Saints (3-0) with 63 yards on 10 carries.
ASCENSION CATHOLIC 13, KIPP RENAISSANCE 6: Jai Williams rolled up a game-high 123 yards on 16 carries and scored the game-winning TD on a 9-yard run Thursday night at Pan American Stadium.
Defensive end Charlie Gianelloni led the defense for unbeaten ACHS (3-0) with eight tackles and two sacks.
LUTCHER 35, MARKSVILLE 12: Daevon Adams ran for 138 yards, and Jacoby Williams scored three TDs as the Bulldogs (1-2) got their first win. Lutcher scored the final 28 points in the nondistrict game. Kolby Bourgeois completed 12 of 19 passes for 169 yards for LHS.
NORTHEAST 42, LIVONIA 20: Curtis Keaton ran for 135 yards and two TDs as Class 2A Northeast (3-0) remained unbeaten with a win over 4A Livonia.
Greg Whitley added 77 yards on 13 carries for the Vikings, who led 20-6 at the half. Jordan Bailey had a game-high 193 yards on 26 carries and scored one TD for Livonia (1-2).
KENTWOOD 29, EAST FELICIANA 22: The run of top performances by running backs included Kentwood’s Larry Carter, who rushed for 258 yards on 21 carries and scored 3 TDs. The Kangaroos (2-1) also got 100 yards passing from Jamarquea Diamond. GeMontae Franklin led EFHS (0-3) with 140 yards on just eight carries, including a 95-yard TD run. Marvel Jackson passed for 159 yards for the Tigers.
CATHOLIC-PC 51, ST. JOHN 0: CHSPC (2-1) took a 39-0 halftime lead and never looked back. Gared Beauvais ran for four TDs to pace the Hornets. Aiden Vosburg passed for two TDs to help CHSPC pile up 430 yards of total offense.
BRUSLY 41, BELAIRE 20: The Panthers (2-1) used the one-two punch of Nick Penell and Grant Avery to claim their second straight victory.
Penell passed for 162 yards and ran for a game-high 112 yards for Class 3A BHS, accounting for three TDs. Avery added 103 yards rushing and a TD.
CENTRAL CATHOLIC 53, FALSE RIVER 35: The teams combined 754 yards. Damian Johnson ran for 206 yards on 15 carries and scored three TDs to lead the Gators (1-2) in the nondistrict Class 1A game. Ryan Smith led the FRA defense with 17 tackles.
