Divisions I-II

1, East Ascension (9-3): Winning Dutchtown’s tourney last weekend was a key step for the Division I Spartans.

2, Lee (7-0): Strength of schedule may be questioned, but unbeaten is notable and the Division II Patriots have done it.

3, Dutchtown (5-2): The Griffins of Division I have made an impressive start and look to build on it.

4, St. Amant (6-5) and St. Joseph’s Academy (2-2): Records can be deceptive, which is why it makes sense to expect more from these Division I powers.

On the outside looking in: McKinley, Denham Springs.

Division III, IV, V

1, Parkview Baptist (9-1): The Division III Eagles are off to solid start and help lead this balanced group.

2, St. Michael (8-2) and University (6-2): Division IV SMHS and Division IV U-High also are on the right track.

4, Brusly (3-0): It will be interesting to see how the Division III Panthers evolve as they play more contests.

5, Lutcher (9-4): The Division III Bulldogs are looking good again.
