St. Joseph’s Academy

Heine was a standout as a youngster at Division II University High and continued to dominate after transferring to Division I SJA. The junior won the individual Metro title for the team champion Redstickers with the low score of 73. Heine was sixth at the Division I state meet with a two-round total of 157, helping St. Joseph’s finish second.

THE TEAM

Holland Garner/University

Tied for fourth place at the Metro tourney with a 92 and was 17th in Division II.

Maggie Westbrook/University

Placed third at the Metro tourney with a 91 and was 10th at the Division II state tourney.

Whitley Moore/St. Michael

Tied for fourth at the Metro tourney at 92 and tied for 16th at the Division I state tourney.

Claire Harrington/St. Joseph’s Academy

The sixth-place Metro finisher placed 18th at the Division I state tourney.

Mary Sutton Sotile/University

The seventh-place competitor at the Metro tourney was part of a solid lineup.

Kendall Mayfield/East Ascension

Mayfield placed eighth at the Metro tourney as the lone competitor for EAHS.

MOST IMPROVED PLAYER

Riley Heaslip

Episcopal

Heaslip finished second at the Metro tourney with a 77. She placed ninth at the Division II state tournament with a two-round score of 177.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Brad Buras

St. Joseph’s Academy

Another year brought more accolades for Buras’ Redstickers. St. Joseph’s won the Metro tourney at 167 and was second at the Division I state tournament.
