For the second night in a row, an LSU basketball team had to go to overtime in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Tuesday night.

And for the second night in a row, LSU rewarded its fans with a win.

After the Lady Tigers defeated Jackson State on Monday night, the Tigers followed it up with a hard-fought 69-64 victory over Texas Tech in the finale of the ESPN Tipoff Marathon.

LSU, which trailed by 12 points at halftime, had to rally late in regulation with four points in 4.5 seconds to send the game into overtime.

Trailing 59-55 with 17.5 seconds to play in the game, Josh Gray was fouled. He hit both free throws to cut the deficit to two points before teammate Tim Quarterman came up with a steal and a layup after Texas Tech got the ball inbounds.

Then, after surviving a last-second shot by Texas Tech, the Tigers outscored the Red Raiders 10-5 in the overtime period to claim the victory.
