Former LSU baseball players Aaron and Austin Nola come a few steps closer to dreams of a matchup in the majors _lowres

Associated Press photo by KATHY WILLENS -- Phillies pitcher Aaron Nola winds up in the second inning of a spring training game Friday against the Yankees in Clearwater, Fla.

Former LSU baseball players Aaron and Austin Nola are steps away from their life long dream of facing each other in the major leagues.

In a Philadephia Inquirer report, the brothers talked about how they have relied on each other from their days playing for Catholic High School to last month when Austin was promoted to the Zephyrs.

When the powerhosue pair played their only LSU baseball season together LSU reached the NCAAA Super Regionals.

Though the brothers have played against each other when Aaron was a freshman at Catholic High and Austin's team was getting ready for the state tournament, it would be nothing like meeting in the majors.

With Aaron's upcoming major-league debut with the Philadelphia Phillies, their dreams to face each other in the majors may be just around the corner too.
