SCOUTING REPORT, Tennessee: Stallings is not the prototypical Saturday starter in the Southeastern Conference. In 124 2/3 career innings, he has just 66 strikeouts. Opponents have also hit for a solid clip against him, batting .282 this season. Yet, somehow, he enters Saturday with a perfectly fine 3.13 ERA.

SCOUTING REPORT, LSU: Hilliard was saddled with the loss in two of his last three starts, but that is hardly his doing. In those three starts, his offensive teammates have managed just five runs combined. Perhaps a change in the day he starts — LSU bumped him up to the No. 2 spot in the rotation — will change his luck.
