The status of two of LSU’s 2015 football signees is in doubt as the start of summer classes inches closer, and a third will not be joining the Tigers this season.

Receiver Brandon Martin, a three-star prospect from Missouri, has enrolled at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and will not play at LSU in the fall, team spokesman Michael Bonnette confirmed Friday.

Offensive tackle Chidi Valentine-Okeke and defensive back Jeremy Cutrer are not expected to enroll this weekend with the other freshmen, multiple sources confirmed to The Advocate.

Valentine-Okeke, a five-star recruit originally from Nigeria, and Cutrer, a three-star junior-college prospect from Jewel Sumner High, have not been cleared by the NCAA and won’t join others in beginning summer school Monday.

Valentine-Okeke and Cutrer could enroll when fall practice begins in August. One source told The Advocate that Cutrer could be cleared as early as late next week.

All other freshmen are expected to enroll in summer class and report to campus this weekend, Bonnette said. Move-in day is Saturday.

Four of LSU’s 25-man signing class enrolled in January and participated in spring practice: cornerback Kevin Toliver II, fullback David Ducre, tight end Hanner Shipley and quarterback Justin McMillan.
