Running back Leonard Fournette, receiver Malachi Dupre and safety Jamal Adams landed on the Coaches All-SEC Freshmen Team, the league announced Thursday.

Fournette, the former No. 1-ranked recruit in the nation, led LSU in rushing with 891 yards and eight touchdowns. The New Orleans native had multiple highlight reel plays this season, including a 22-yard touchdown run in which he ran over Texas A&M safety Howard Matthews in the Tigers’ 23-17 win in the regular season finale.

Dupre, also a New Orleans native and key member to the 2014 No. 2-ranked signing class, was fourth on the team with 14 catches and had the second-most receiving yards at 318. He caught five touchdowns, also second on the team.

Adams, a Texas product ranked the No. 2 safety in the nation out of high school, became a featured part of the Tigers secondary late in the year. He finished sixth on the team with 56 tackles.

Fournette, who also returned kickoffs, made the team as a running back and all-purpose back, giving LSU a league-leading four positions on the All-SEC Freshman Team.
