LSU’s nine-city, 30-day Tiger Tour concluded Tuesday night when coaches, administrators and members of the Tiger Athletic Foundation welcomed fans to the Lod Cook Alumni Center.
New men’s basketball coach Johnny Jones, who was making his eighth tour stop, was one of the main attractions along with football offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Greg Studrawa and recruiting coordinator/running backs coach Frank Wilson.
“It’s been great,” Jones said of the reception he’s received from LSU supporters along the tour’s many stops. “It’s been exciting to meet the fan base. It’s really been an honor and a privilege to travel around and visit with them.”
With the spring semester completed, Studrawa said the football staff will be busy with summer camps and recruiting in the next three weeks before they break for vacation although he’s ready to get the season going.
“Instead of getting ready for vacation, I’m ready to get started (with fall camp),” he said. “I’d start today if they allowed us to.”
Also in attendance for a dinner buffet and silent auction were volleyball coach Fran Flory, men’s golf coach Chuck Winstead and soccer coach Brian Lee.
