Brennon Anderson hit a three-run home run and drove in five runs as BYU handed No. 3 LSU its first loss of the season 9-4 Saturday night in Alex Box Stadium.

Anderson’s first homer of the season came during a five-run sixth inning in what had been a 1-1 game. He singled home two runs in the eighth inning.

The Tigers (5-1) will play Southeastern Louisiana (5-1) at 1 p.m. Sunday in the resumption of a game that was suspended due to severe weather Friday night. The game is scoreless and will resume with Mason Katz batting and facing a 1-1 count with runners on first and third. Both teams are expected to use the same pitchers that started Friday -- LSU right-hander Ryan Eades and SLU left-hander Jordan Hymel.
