Dantrieze Scott may not be the most highly sought after recruit in LSU's early signing class, but at 6 foot 5, 245 pounds, the Tigers can probably find something to do with the athlete.

LSU coach Ed Orgeron picked up Scott and teammate Dare Rosenthal — the state's top defensive tackle prospect — out of Ferriday, Louisiana.

Scott's high school coach said he sees Scott playing pass rushing role similar to Arden Key. Scott lined up at tight end and defensive end for Ferriday.

What They’re Saying

"I think he’s going to be a standup rush guy like Arden Key. He gets off the ball very well, very explosive, long arms. He still has to work a little bit on some technique stuff, but for the most part, he has all the tools it takes to get to the next level. He just has to go refine them and perfect his craft." - Ferriday coach Stanley Smith
