WHAT TO WATCH: The streaking Tigers take a five-game winning streak and some incredibly hot bats into a key game. A win and LSU gets a bye Friday and moves into Saturday’s semifinals. Nola takes the mound against a Hogs team that he stifled last month. He had a career-high 13 strikeouts in a win over Arkansas in a series earlier this year. LSU has scored 67 runs in the last five games.

KNOW YOUR OPPONENT: The Hogs have thrown their best two arms already this week in Chris Oliver and Trey Killian. Arkansas’ No. 2 pitcher, Jalen Beeks (5-4, 2.11), did not make the trip to Hoover because of an injury. Coach Dave Van Horn plans to piece together his pitching Thursday.

IN THE HOLE (with loss): vs. Vanderbilt/Ole Miss, 3 p.m. Friday.

IN THE HOLE (with win): TBA, noon Saturday.
