New LSU women’s basketball coach Nikki Caldwell will host Lady Tiger Lagniappe, a meet-and-greet with fans free of charge, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
The first 400 fans in attendance will receive free giveaways, and concession stands will be open on the upper concourse.
Fans will have an opportunity to get autographs by Caldwell, her assistant coaches and players. Activities are planned for kids of all ages.
“We wanted to do a little something extra for our fans and show our appreciation for them,” Caldwell said in a university release. “We welcome everyone of all ages to come out and join us for a night of fun. In the short time I have been here, I know there is a direct connection with our fans and this team, and what better way to continue that than with this event that kicks off our exciting upcoming season.”
Caldwell, who led UCLA to national prominence in her previous stop, will address the crowd about the upcoming season as she prepares for her debut as the LSU coach.
The event also gives fans an opportunity to purchase season tickets starting at $50 apiece.
Fans are asked to park in Lot A adjacent to Tiger Stadium. Entrance to the arena will be available only through the Upper Southwest and Lower Southeast portals.
Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by July 18 through the LSU Marketing and Promotions office at (225) 578-6884 or promotions
