Alabama coach Nick Saban considers LSU an "undefeated team," the former Tigers coach said at his weekly news conference Monday afternoon.

LSU is 3-0 since Les Miles was fired and is outscoring opponents 125-38 in those three games -- wins vs. Missouri, Southern Mississippi and Ole Miss.

Saban complimented LSU's defense, specifically the secondary. On offense, he said he's noticed LSU is "more multiple in personnel."

He called the Tigers' play-action game "very effective" and said it appears the system quarterback Danny Etling is asked to run doesn't appear to be complicated, but that Etling 'has done a really, really good job executing."

The No. 15 Tigers (5-2, 3-1) and No. 1 Crimson Tide (8-0, 5-0) meet Saturday night at Tiger Stadium.

Monday is Saban's birthday. When asked what his favorite gift was, he said he only got one present (so far) ... one of those buttons that when you press it, it says, "That's bullshit."

Saban, 65, suggested he might need it more at home than at work.
