After a 13-day break for final exams, the LSU women’s basketball team returns to action at 2 p.m. Sunday, hosting Alabama State in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

The Lady Tigers (3-3) are led in scoring by LaSondra Barrett, who is averaging 12.7 points. Adrienne Webb is next at 8.2 points. Courtney Jones averages 6.0 rebounds.

Alabama State (2-2) is led by Danielle Gazaway (13.0 ppg), Kierra Page (11.3 ppg), and Quentori Alford, who scored 13 points in her only appearance this season.

As a team, LSU’s defense has surrendered 51.7 points per game and held opponents to 32.5 percent shooting. In LSU’s three home games, opponents have failed to score 45 points. LSU is giving up 37.3 points per game in the Maravich Center.

LSU leads the series with Alabama State 2-0 with an 87-69 win in 1990 and a 65-19 win in 2002.
