SCOTT RABALAIS' TAKE: LSU’s bowl prospects took a major hit with the Tigers’ 37-7 loss to Mississippi State. LSU fell from numerous projections for a New Year’s Six bowl appearance to a wide variety of minor bowls, though as last week there were still several projections that have the Tigers in the Outback Bowl. We’ll say Florida is still the destination, but the TaxSlayer Bowl in Jacksonville, not Tampa, a bowl that has been eager to invite LSU for years. The opponent can be the ACC, Big Ten or Notre Dame. We’ll go with the Fighting Irish.

Texas Bowl: Dec. 27, Houston

Belk Bowl: Dec. 29, Charlotte, North Carolina

Music City Bowl: Dec. 29, Nashville, Tennessee

Liberty Bowl: Dec. 30, Memphis, Tennessee

TaxSlayer Bowl: Dec. 30, Jacksonville, Florida

Outback Bowl: Jan. 1, Tampa, Florida
