LSU will renew its series with Tennessee next season in what's sure to be chilly Neyland Stadium.

LSU's 2017 scheduled was released Tuesday night on SEC Network. LSU and Tennessee will meet next season in the 11th game on Nov. 18 at Knoxville, Tennessee.

The Tigers will open 2017 by playing five of their first seven games in Tiger Stadium, and just one of those (at Mississippi State in Game 3) is at the opponent's home venue. LSU opens the season against BYU at Houston's NRG Stadium.

The nonconference foes, and dates, and the conference opponents, without dates, have been known for several months. LSU travels to Alabama on Nov. 4, and the Tigers' off week, as is tradition, comes the week before. The Tide's off week is also before that clash.

LSU plays a brutal stretch late in the year, traveling to Ole Miss (Oct. 21) and Alabama (Nov. 4), hosting Arkansas (Nov. 11) and playing at Tennessee. The Tigers, though, are the only team in the SEC that does not have consecutive league road games.

Tennessee is the only new team on the Tigers' schedule. LSU and the Volunteers will meet in Neyland Stadium in the 11th game of a 12-game regular season. LSU last played Tennessee in 2011, a 38-7 route in Knoxville. The teams have met in the Southeastern Conference championship game in 2001 and 2007, both LSU wins.

In fact, the Tigers have won the past four games against the Vols, their longest win streak in the series. LSU is 3-11-1 in games at Neyland Stadium.

All but two of LSU's eight SEC foes in 2017 are currently ranked in the AP Top 25. The Tigers will finish with their nonconference games by the fifth week of the season.

LSU hosts Chattanooga in Game 2, Syracuse on Sept. 23 in Game 4 and Troy the next week. The Tigers travel to Mississippi State on Sept. 16 and host Florida and Auburn on back-to-back weeks on Oct. 7 and Oct. 14.

More news emerged Tuesday night: The Thanksgiving night clash between LSU and Texas A&M will end after this season.

The Aggies and Tigers will no longer play their regular-season finale on Thanksgiving after this year's game at Kyle Field, according to a report from the Houston Chronicle, citing an anonymous source.

LSU and A&M have met in the regular season finale since 2014, but only games in College Station, Texas, are played on Thanksgiving, at the request of ESPN. LSU administrators would not agree on playing its home game against A&M on Thanksgiving.

ESPN has found a new rivalry series for its Thanksgiving night telecast: Mississippi State vs. Ole Miss. The Rebels and Bulldogs agreed to play on the holiday, no matter the venue. That will begin in 2017.
