Cox Sports Television will televise two LSU volleyball matches during the upcoming season, the network said in a Monday news release.

CST will show have a tape-delay presentation of the Auburn match Oct. 16. And the network will carry the Ole Miss match at 1 p.m. on Oct. 23 live at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.


LSU SENDS 10 TO U.S. NATIONAL MEET: Ten LSU swimmers will compete at the 2011 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming Na-tional Championship at Stan-ford starting Tuesday.

Junior Amanda Kendall will compete in four events: 100-meter butterfly, 200 freestyle, 50 free and 100 free. Also competing are Sara Haley (100 fly and 200 fly), Craig Hamilton (400 free, 1,500 free), Sally Wood (200 and 400 individual medley), Chelsea Griffiths (100 backstroke), Audrey Lawson (200 fly), Jana Ruimerman (100 and 200 backstroke), Nick Kunkel (100 and 200 backstroke), Jessica Kopcso (100-meter breast-stroke and Emily Schwabe (200 breaststroke).

ONLINE FAN VOTING UNDER WAY FOR THE BOWERMAN: Fans can help sophomore Kimberlyn Duncan win The Bowerman as the top collegiate track and field athlete of the season with online fan voting open through Aug. 16 at

The results of the online fan voting will count for one full vote in the final balloting.

Online voting will be conducted through Aug. 16.

Now in its third year, The Bowerman is collegiate track and field’s equivalent to the Heisman Trophy and is presented annually by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association to the premier male and female athlete in the country following each collegiate season.

Balloting by The Bowerman Award Advisory Board, past winners, selected media personnel, statisticians and collegiate administrators is also under way until later this month.

The winners announced at the USTFCCCA convention on Dec. 14.

Duncan is a finalist for The Bowerman this season after her dominating effort in the 200-meter dash and scoring more points at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships than any athlete in the meet.
