RUMBLINGS: After finishing 6-7 in 2016 and being tabbed for a sixth-place finish in the SEC West this year, the Bulldogs are eager to prove the doubters wrong and are off to an impressive nonconference start.

ON THE BULLDOGS OFFENSE

With Fitzgerald running the offense with precision, the Bulldogs have averaged 53.0 points, 507.0 total yards and 304.0 rushing yards per game in recording back-to-back blowouts. Fitzgerald and Williams average 8.9 and 7.6 yards per carry.

ON THE BULLDOGS DEFENSE

While the offense has been hot, the defense has been sizzling as well. The Bulldogs are allowing 85 yards rushing and just 89 yards passing — giving up just 16 completions in 38 pass attempts. MSU has allowed a scant 2.7 yards per play so far.
