WACO, Texas — Former two-time Louisiana Player of the Year Nicky Dawson is transferring from LSU to Baylor, Baylor announced Monday.

Dawson, a middle infielder who starred at Parkview Baptist, finished her freshman season at LSU with a .310 batting average and was 8 of 9 on stolen base attempts.

Dawson holds state high school records in steals, hits, and runs, as well as the national record for triples (49).

Baylor, coached by former LSU coach Glenn Moore, also added catcher Carlee Wallace of Auburn and pitcher Regan Green of Mississippi State.
