Former LSU Tiger, and current New York Giants wideout Odell Beckham Jr. was selected to the cover of EA Sports' Madden NFL 16.

Beckham was selected over New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, the other finalist, for the honor.

The announcement came during the Wednesday evening CT SportsCenter broadcast on ESPN.

Former Tiger and current Arizona Cardinal cornerback Patrick Peterson was among the final four candidates, along with Pittsburgh Steeler wide receiver Antonio Brown, but both failed to reach the final two.

Beckham had 91 catches for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns in 12 games during his rookie season last year. He became a fixture on highlight shows for making spectacular one-handed catches.
