Photos: Thumping Leonard Fournette runs, flying tortillas, cowboy hats, more; LSU's win vs. Texas Tech had it all _lowres

Advocate staff photo by TRAVIS SPRADLING -- LSU's Golden Girls have a front row seat to watch this bomb float into the hands of Texas Tech Red Raiders wide receiver Jakeem Grant (11), as LSU cornerback Tre'Davious White (18) defends, with 53 second left in the first quarter, of the Advocare V100 Texas Bowl on Dec. 29, 2015.

Dave Aranda's installation of a 3-4 defense at LSU has led to position moves and role swaps.

For instance, Corey Thompson, a safety, is now playing outside linebacker. Former defensive end Tashawn Bower is an outside linebacker now, too, and tackle Christian LaCouture is playing at end.

Tre'Davious White, a wide cornerback during his first three seasons at LSU, has moved inside to nickel cornerback, Aranada confirmed. The coordinator wants a "big, physical corner" playing the nickel spot.

No players who changed positions during the spring have moved spots over the summer, Aranda said, but what about the defensive linemen and linebackers LSU signed in the 2016 class?

Sci Martin

Position: Outside linebacker (Buck)

Aranda: "Sci can rush the passer. We’re working on Sci dropping some into coverage. He’s very intelligent, physical kid. I see Sci contributing."

Rahssan Thornton

Position: Outside linebacker (F)

Aranda: "He’s got a great motor, great length. He’s also an intelligent guy, wants to learn. He applies himself the right way."

Glen Logan

Position: Defensive end

Aranda: "He’s looking good. I’m really excited about him. Some of those interior guys are going to play sooner than later."

Rashard Lawrence

Position: Defensive end

Caleb Roddy

Position: Tight end/defensive end

Edwin Alexander

Position: Nose tackle
