Advocate staff photo by TRAVIS SPRADLING -- LSU fullback J.C. Copeland (44), LSU offensive tackle La'El Collins (70) and LSU offensive guard Vadal Alexander (78) congratulate LSU quarterback Anthony Jennings (10) after Jennings plunged across the goal line for LSU's first touchdown in a 21-14 win over Iowa in the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Florida Wednesday. Jennings quarterbacked LSU in the game, because regular starter Zach Mettenberger (8) was injured in LSU's last game.

Anthony Jennings, for now LSU’s No. 1 quarterback, spoke with reporters after the Tigers’ second day of spring practice on Monday. The rising sophomore discussed his performance in the Outback Bowl, his growing leadership capabilities and his relationship with players. He touched on the competition between him, Brandon Harris and Hayden Rettig, and he discussed his maturing football IQ and stronger arm.
