Former LSU women’s soccer goalkeeper Mo Isom was among a group of participants in a kicking tryout that began Tuesday.
She did so out of view of reporters, however, as the tryout was moved indoors because of gusty winds.
“If she gave us a good opportunity and an advantage, we would certainly consider that,” LSU Coach Les Miles said in a news release of her chances of making the team. “There has to be an advantage to the team.”
Isom, who is six feet tall, worked out with the team in September, according to a story by the Associated Press and WDSU-TV, practicing kickoffs and field goals. Though she is a senior, she would have a year of eligibility should she be selected for the football team, according to the story.
Isom was also LSU’s homecoming queen at the LSU-Kentucky game Nov. 12, 2011.
