Advocate staff photo by BILL FEIG -- As LSU running back Darrel Williams (34) watches, LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron gives instructions during warmups before the game Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 in Starkville.

LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron is expected to call plays from the sideline during the Tigers’ bowl game against Texas Tech on Tuesday night at NRG Stadium, a source told The Advocate.

Cameron, the third-year coordinator, is moving from his usual spot in the press box for the Texas Bowl. It’s unclear why the move is being made, and coach Les Miles over the last few weeks gave no indication of the change.

LSU’s offense is in the midst of a slide. The Tigers haven’t hit the 20-point mark in the last four games - the longest such streak since 1993. LSU quarterback Brandon Harris has struggled over those four games, completing just 47 percent of his passes and throwing five interceptions to three touchdowns.
