Twenty-five LSU athletes earned degrees in the summer commencement ceremonies Friday on campus.

Four athletes completed their master’s degrees, highlighted by 2004 All-America and Remington Trophy winner Ben Wilkerson. After four seasons in the NFL, Wilkerson returned to LSU and earned his sport management degree while serving as an administrative intern with the football program.

Volleyball star Lauren DeGirolamo, a 2007 AVCA All-America, received her master’s in educational technology curriculum instruction after getting an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship in March 2010. She finished her career as one of three players with 1,000 kills and 500 blocks.
