LSU practiced in full pads Thursday for the first time this spring.
Unfortunately, the media's 25-minute viewing window into drills did not include full-speed collisions. But we do have our daily observations below with video:
- Missing: TE Jamal Pettigrew was the only player noticeably absent during the portion of practice that reporters were allowed to watch. He was out with an injury. No other information was provided.
- Still in gold: The three players who have donned limited-contact gold jerseys remained in them Thursday, the Tigers' third spring practice. The list includes DL Christian LaCouture, OL Donavaughn Campbell and FB J.D. Moore.
- Star watching: Former LSU safety and potential first-round NFL draft pick Jamal Adams watched some of practice Thursday.
We spent a good portion of Thursday's drills watching the defensive line rotation. Keep in mind these were individual drills and not full-team portions of practice.

Here's what appears to be the pecking order at Buck, the outside linebacker/edge rusher position that Arden Key plays (Key is out, as you probably know):
- Sci Martin
- Andre Anthony
- Isaiah Washington
