Davin Cotton

New LSU defensive tackle Davin Cotton

After sitting out almost all of his senior season at Evangel with a leg injury, Davin Cotton is ready to get back on the football field at LSU.

The four-star defensive tackle signed with the Tigers on Wednesday and will enroll in the spring after suffering the season-ending injury in Evangel's season opener. He did record five tackles and a sack in the jamboree, however.

Cotton joins teammate Micah Baskerville in enrolling early to LSU and will be joined by teammate and LSU commitment ArDarius Washington next season. All three committed together at the Boys From the Boot event in February after receiving offers the same weekend.

In signing with the Tigers, Cotton spurned offers from Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi State, among others.
