Scott Rabalais’ take: LSU’s loss to Alabama doesn’t change much. The Tigers are still in line for one of the SEC’s top bowl destinations, assuming LSU wins out to go 9-3. If it does, then the Tigers have to watch to see what Auburn and Mississippi State do. If Auburn throws a wrench into SEC and CFP championship plans by upsetting Georgia and Alabama the next three weeks, then Auburn might go all the way to the national semifinals. But if Auburn loses to finish 8-4, and Mississippi State loses to Alabama to do no better than 9-3, then LSU is right there in the mix for the Citrus, Outback and TaxSlayer bowls. We continue to say LSU will be in the Outback Bowl against a Big Ten foe, this time probably Michigan State.
