Ed Orgeron will coach an LSU practice without an interim tag for the first time Thursday afternoon.

On Thursday, Orgeron and the No. 19 Tigers (7-4, 5-3 Southeastern Conference) will hold the first of 12 bowl practices before LSU's meeting with No. 15 Louisville in the Citrus Bowl on 10 a.m. CST on Dec. 31 in Orlando, Florida.

LSU, which is making its 17th straight bowl trip, will practice Thursday, Friday and Saturday but will take off Sunday to hold the team's annual senior banquet at the Raising Cane's River Center Sunday evening.

The Tigers will then practice Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the following week before taking three days off for a Christmas break. LSU will return to campus Dec. 26 before heading to Orlando on Dec. 27.

The Tigers are also expected to hold a few practices at the bowl site. The schedule for those practices has not been released yet.

LSU's meeting with the Cardinals (9-3, 7-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) will be televised on ABC.
