None of the NCAA Baton Rouge regionals games scheduled Friday through Sunday are likely to appear in the 12 available time slots ESPN has allotted for telecasts on ESPN2 and ESPNU.

Mike Moore, ESPN’s coordinating producer for college baseball, confirmed Thursday that all games in the Baton Rouge regional will be available on ESPN3, the sports cable giant’s website.

ESPN3’s Bases Loaded site will have a list of all available games and, after the viewer makes the connection with the website, there will be a list of games airing at that time.

LSU faces Southeastern Louisiana at 2 p.m. Friday, and Houston takes on Bryant College at 7 p.m. at Alex Box Stadium to complete the first day’s lineup for the Baton Rouge regional.

Moore said it was “very unlikely” any LSU game would be aired for cable viewers.

“Because LSU is a national seed, we will be looking in quite a bit,” Moore said of games involving the eighth-seeded Tigers. “Depending on what happens, like weather delays, we’re going to cut in with the Bases Loaded package to the (Baton Rouge) games,” Moore said. “On Monday night, if in one of the ‘if necessary” games, that game could show up (on an ESPN cable channel).

“But we’re going to cut into the games there often.”

ESPNU has scheduled four regional games Friday, including the 3 p.m. showdown between Texas A&M and Texas in the Houston regional, the 6 p.m. game pitting Arkansas and Liberty in the Charlottesville regional; and the 10 p.m. game matching No. 1 overall seed Oregon State against North Dakota State.

Saturday’s ESPNU schedule has games set for noon, 4 p.m., 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. with ESPN2 airing games at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Bases Loaded coverage is set throughout both days with specific update/highlight shows airing 3-4 p.m. on ESPNU and 10:30 p.m. on ESPN2.

ESPNU has game-time slots at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday with update/highlight shows airing from 2-3 p.m. on ESPNU and 10 p.m. on ESPN2.

If one or more regionals move to the “if necessary” games Monday, ESPNU has set 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. slots for those games with Bases Loaded highlights set to air from 9-10 p.m.

Former Houston Astros broadcaster Brett Dolan along with former Florida star Nick Belmonte will handle play-by-play for ESPN in the Baton Rouge regional.
