The LSU men’s basketball team had a late change in its starting lineup for Monday night’s game against the College of Charleston in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

Sophomore forward Jarell Martin, who started the first 10 games, was not in the lineup, a coach’s decision.

LSU coach Johnny Jones said on the pregame radio show that Martin was involved in a fender bender earlier in the day and was late to the team’s shoot-around.

Martin was replaced in the starting lineup by sophomore forward Aaron Epps. It was the first start of Epps’ career.

Martin, who wore a bandage on his left hand during pregame warmups, checked in at the first official timeout at the 15:53 mark without the bandage.

The team’s leading scorer, Martin ranked fourth in the Southeastern Conference at 16.8 points per game and was third in rebounding at 9.0.
