The wait is over.
Offensive lineman Chidi Valentine-Okeke and defensive end Arden Key, two LSU signees who had not arrived on campus, reported for preseason camp Wednesday, team spokesman Jake Terry confirmed to The Advocate.
Valentine-Okekeand Key, both in the top 5 in their position groups nationally, were two of four signees who didn’t report with others to begin summer school and summer workouts. Both had issues getting cleared, but they were both expected to join for camp. Two other signees – defensive back Jeremy Cutrer and receiver Brandon Martin – did not qualify.
LSU players reported to the West Campus Apartments on Wednesday, where they’ll live during the three-week camp that begins Thursday. LSU coach Les Miles is expected to hold a news conference with reporters at 1 p.m.
