LSU coach Les Miles, on Wednesdays during game weeks, speaks publicly three different times. Follow his comments here throughout the day.

  • Late hits: Miles didn’t reveal what he heard from the SEC office after sending in clips of sophomore RB Leonard Fournette taking late hits and being piled on following plays against Florida last Saturday. “I really have not followed up on that,” he said. “I think that’s kinda their inner department workings. I’m not at liberty to share what goes on between the SEC office and here. I’ll refrain from doing so.” Miles expressed concern for his player’s safety after the Florida game and during his weekly press luncheon Monday.
  • Coaching compliments: With LSU set to face Western Kentucky on Saturday, Miles praised Hilltoppers’ coach Jeff Brohm, who has taken the team to 6-1 in just its seventh season as an FBS squad. “I know that he’s got a veteran staff,” Miles said. “Coach Brohm was an ex-quarterback in the NFL and comes from a real football family. He’s done a great job. His team is tremendously well-prepared in all three phases.”
